What was the process for plasti dipping the chrome bumper? Any cracks or chips so far?

all i did was take my tail gate off so i did not have to mask it off. and ly license plate and the plastic trim stuff under the plate. and i washed the bumper. and i just did it today. have not even moved the truck since i did it. i plan on getting some bed liner, and putting bed liner on it instead of the plasti dip.

yeah. i really did not think i was going to do much. i also love taking the atvs and the rhino 4 wheeling. and in a way they are made for it and less stuff can brake. only damage other than really deep water. is broke plastic, a head/tail light or some bent bars. flat tires. my hitch hit a few times. thats why i may do a H/C and i only need 4wd 2 times. so it was kinda a mild trail.

high clearance. for the high clearance bumpers you have to cut the bed side behind the back wheel/tire. most you cut it about the bottom of the tail light.

thanks. i got it at lowes. and no. i sprayed the hole thing, than took a rzer blade and very very carefully cut just the plasti dip and pilled off road i did not want. it took me 15 or 20 min just to do that. i have since spilled power aid and mtn dew on it all. so i pilled it off instead of cleaning it. need to redo it.

also have added a bunch of stuff behind and under back seat. pic coming soon of all that.(few small tools, and stuff for road side repairs.

ok guys. some may not care about any of this, but i’ll post for those that may, any ways. i have started adding a few tools and stuff to my truck, and now plain on a tool box over best top. here is some pic of what i have so far. here is my 20’ tow strap, pair of good work gloves, and my fixed blade knife.DSCN2905_a0d6315a9874caf5f85a0e9e69ecb17455bb449c.jpg 2nd pic is, standard and metric mini open/closed end wrenches, and allen/hex wrenches. 2 screwdrivers.DSCN2907_48cd8c66e08c6ea8a6c398b4bac46bfda7ea61a3.jpg next is 100+ wire ties, electrical tape, 2 sizes of heat shrink both about 6 to 8” long, and just some marker/flagging stuff, something you may see on job site or for trees that need to be cut.(could use if i had to leave truck some where and wanted it to bee seen better)DSCN2908_1452b665ebbc643ec104d8cc2b9ed08383e66f7c.jpg ok next is, emergency poncho, light pair of gloves, lighter, water proof matches, Coleman 50 sheet hand soap.(great for fishing or hunting, they are dry sheet just have to get them wet) small LED flash light, extra batteries AAAx6 and AAx4.DSCN2909_a1b339c1c1fceedabe0acc5ddf36115b92ad9d0e.jpg try and keep everything in this “just in case bag” also have jumper cables and a small wool blanket. some of the stuff came in the just in case kit. some i added.DSCN2911_cc7e246e7643ea9e5e7b4d898eeb4d13477a067b.jpg also keep clean and double sided duck tape,a lock(the D looking thing) pretty tamper proof. just need to get a cable so i can lock stuff in to the bed.

when i get tool box. i’ll get a small air bump like 12v or one that hooks to the battery terminals. more tools(sockets and stuff) fix a flat, tire plugs, maybe extra spark plugs, washer fluid, and anything els i can think of.

ok. so this week. i re plasti dipped my front cub holders and the trim around the shifter. it is all black now instead of black and silver/gray.will get a pic tomorrow. also tonight me and dad tried to fix the temp/compass did good, had it all back in about to put the screw back, and it all stopped work. :( so i unplugged it and set it in my lap. it was very very hot! so i guess the resisters are shot, or it shorted out. should not be hot at all. may try one other fix, or see what dealer will be taking from me. tomorrow i plain on doing rear diff breather, blue LED by the shifter since my light is out. also going to try and do the fog light any time mod, and do the Parking lights as turn signals.( found here. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/4838-cheap-free-mods-10.html#post64696 )
