Hey guys, just wondering if there were any improvements made to the 2013 Tacoma versus the 2009?
    Thanks

New front end in 2012. Also upgrade to the interior...new radio, Entune, etc. As far as I know, the mechanicals are all the exact same.

I think the center console is different with the access cabs as well ( in the back)

Indeed. I went from a 2010 SR5 access cab to a 2013 Sport access cab and somehow  didn't notice until after I took delivery that the rear center console no longer has a lidded storage compartment. Probably because I didn't even test drive it until I was ready to drive it home. It was a locate from another state to get the color I wanted, and since I had seen *most* of the changes online, and being a Tacoma owner already I didn't see the need to actually drive it. Other than that one small detail, I'm thrilled with the truck so far. I wonder what that mod is going to cost me though.

The good news is that I was blown away by how much better the stock stereo was from the stock 2010 model. Pretty sweet...I'm not sure why some people don't like it, but I'm very happy with it.
