My boss/friend said to me when I wanted a Kindle: "Hey I know how you can read books without having to pay the Kindle price - it's called a LIBRARY CARD". Another thing he said to me when I wanted to buy a nice stock 69 Firebird: "So this is what's going to happen. You're gonna park it in the garage, close the door and it's gonna sit there. And nobody will see it. Unnecessary expense!"

Well I made the mistake of telling that to my husband. So now his reason for not having sliders is "You're never going to wheel it, why put those on?" OF COURSE I"M NOT GOING TO WHEEL IT, I HAVE NO SLIDERSSSSS!!

    :annoyed:

First mod I got for my truck (lift, wheels and tires) she asked me how much did it all cost. I said not more than those fancy purses with the "C" and the "LV" you have in the closet. Been modding my truck worry free since.

I wish I could vote for 2! lol. I asured my girlfriend I need to 4-link the truck after I took her out offroading with a stock rear-end lol. I told her it would be sooooo much smoother and not throw her around sooo much haha. And then again if she told me no I cant spend it on my truck I would dump her in a heart beat. Its my money I spend it how I want!

My wife knew I was a car/gear nut from the day we met. When we married, she said I could buy new cars and mod them as often as I wanted, as long as I kept the same wife. In 19 years of marriage, I've put that promise to work at least a dozen times. :)

My wife thinks I am crazy. haha. I have a hard time justifying spending any money on it because we are both in school and she can't work because of how busy grad school keeps her and I have a work study job. She's really frugal.

A little of this and a little of that.
She's not worried about the truck mods. The motorcycles always concern her though.

I take my wife wheeling with me and let her drive occasionally.

When I high centered the truck I pointed at it and said, "If the truck were higher it would've rolled right over that."

When I went through a bowl and had both bumpers on the ground with all 4 wheels spinning in the air I said, "If I had a high clearance bumper I would've rolled right through that."

Now I that I want a long travel suspension I say, "Remember that time you rolled my old Tacoma? This suspension will widen the track width which will make the vehicle more stable and thus safer to drive."

I find it's difficult to explain something mechanical to women, but if you can manage to show it to them they usually understand.
