    No... you ask for a Rum & Coke.
    When making a Long Island Iced Tea, it's a "splash of coke"

    It's a generic term, and it is indeed regional.
    Though I was born and raised in California, the regionally correct term is indeed "soda"... "coke" is more of a southeastern used term, and "pop" is more midwestern.

    coke is a souther thing. :D and pop is also used in the north east. thats what all my family(and everyone i know) in NY call it.
