Did you use an allen wrench on the stem to keep the shaft from moving? theres no need for a vise wrench unless the thread is bad.

 

Oooh you guys have the stem mounted shocks, a grinder wouldnt be a good idea lol

 

Hmm you could just break off the stem top remove from the bottom and just push pull until the stem top gives way

There is no allen. The stock Bilsteins vs SR5 (Tokicos) are actually different. You don't have this problem. I see what you mean because my 5100's have the allen spot in them.

 

Impact guns work wonders.

 

What does that mean? Is there some kind of secret on how to do it I should know about?

I understand what an impact does. I just wonder how it would fit in the wheel well, as well as how it would remove the small and big bolt on the shock.

 

If you can't get them off bring the 5100s with you when you pick up the aal and I will help you get the old ones off and install the new ones.
