If it is just me noticing this please tell me but does it seem like there is a solid increase of posts that make you scratch your head? Posts that you have to read multiple times to try and understand what the poster is trying to say. Whether it be due to blatant lack of punctuation leaving multiple sentences jammed together, or just words connected without even spaces.

I assume it is due to people posting from iphones or blackberries but I just wanted to see if anyone has been noticing this. If you want some examples I can grab them

I've seen it, and I wish there was such a job as "Interweb Copy-editor." I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I post from my iPhone all the time and only a few times have I made any careless mistakes. It just has to do with laziness is all. Most people don't want to take the time to punctuate or check themselves. Also, people tend to write the way they speak. And that's even worse.

I blame the American education system and the popular opinion that reading, grammar, and spelling are annoyances. I either go to one extreme, correcting their post, or the other extreme, where I ignore them. I'm not asking for perfect, but run-on sentances, a certain modicum of spelling, and just a wee bit of grammar is not hard!

    Oh, by the way,

WHERE'S YOUR QUESTION MARK, YOU TARD?? :D:laugh:

FWIW, I have a small key board......well...smaller than the one on my PC, so when Im on my laptop, I tend to hit the letter next to the one I mean to hit. Some times I correct it, other times...Well.....

I ignore posts that make my brain hurt...unless they're meant to be funny. :) If someone can't take the time to properly ask a question then I won't take the time to answer it.

I'm gonna go with D. Final answer, Milton.

But I've gotten to that point too. If I can't read it, I don't want to help.

haha its not bad grammar or spelling mistakes that bothers me, its having to read a post 5 times over again to actualy understand what the person is trying to say. There are 2 people on her who if i see post i stay away from the thread. If you want an example pm so i don't publically call anyone out haha

Grammar has no bearing on how your sentence reads. It is up to the reader to interpret your sentence.
