After 2 days & about 100 miles I have yet to have a driveline vibration, squeek, VSC or AntiLock Brake light & no rubbing. I trimmed a truck load of plastic before I even put the tires on. I plan to Rinoline the plastic fenders & most of the bottom half of the truck eventually.

Yeah' I'd say that you got pretty aggressive with the cutting Scott. Mine hasn't rubbed yet on daily driving & some mild bumps. Gonna go wheel some next weekend and see if I need to trim anymore.

Not me.....I've had solid axle....79 Jeep CJ and it wasnt that much better off road than what we have now. Probably more capable to handle abuse but handled like ass on the road.

Not yet....but I did trim alot before I even took the truck off the rack. Also I haven't been offroad yet so the rub issue hasn't been tested.

You are correct....even the instruction booklet for the lift install has in HUGE letters..."Must run at least 18" diameter wheels with this kit, with a maximum 4.56 backspacing"

....But: the larger diameter wheel is needed so the tie rod end does not make contact with the wheel lip. With 18's, the tie rod end is "inside" the wheel. So with my 16" wheel the tie rod hits the inner lip of the wheel................So, I added 1.25" wheel spacers and now the tie rod end is right beside the wheel lip with about 1/4" of clearance (add in the wheel weights on the lip & it's more like 1/8" clearance). It's close but it works....if my 16's had a different offset or backspacing it would not work.

So in a nutshell....with 18's you are sure to have no issue. And 16's can work but you will need wheel spacers along with the correct offset / backspacing.

Not sure bud, I'm at work right now but I can get that measurement for you later.
