So I was looking under the dash of the truck yesterday since I was thinking about doing the clutch pedal mod and I came across some white electrical tape but it wasn't securing anything since it was loose and seems like something used to be taped under there. So I look around some more and came upon a small piece with a bunch of green wires coming out from it. I figured if it was a factory part then the wires should be color coded but this piece just had green wires and it was heavily taped with black electrical tape. It's just right above the clutch pedal further up connected to what seems to be the main wire bundle for the fuses.

Anyone else have this? I will try to take a picture of this when I get home later.

That is part of the tracking system that the Department of Homeland Security puts into all 2009 cars and trucks.

Ha ha. It could be. I know there was a LoJack option for my truck since I received the paper wrok when I bought it but the truck actually came from another dealership delivered into my local dealership that doesn't do LoJack so I'm guessing it's the mystery LoJack piece that no one seems to have ever seen.

Do the greenish blue wires go any where? Is it plugged into anything?

I took another looked at it. The wires are connected to where it's taped on. Also it's hard to tell on the pic but right next to it (right)is a black connector that's connected to that piece wrapped by foam tape. There are no markings on any of the pieces from what I can see and using better lighting, it's definitely not Toyota's. Even the tape that was used is a different shade of black.

So the green wires don't double back into the plug? (like jumpers)

That is the XM interface. I just mounted the XM in my truck over the weekend. You put the receiver box under the cargo accessory box (I have ACC cab4x4) and run the cable under the scuff panel and connect it under the dash to the cable recveiver. The cable receiver has white tape on it.

    Hope that answers the question.

...ask the dealer if you take it in for the service.... they've answered all of my questions. I also have a harness behind a little black plate on the dash that's for disabling the passenger side airbag.

The wiring is there for ALL options, some are just not installed...

I think it's the jumper for the warp drive, myself...
