I am buying a left over '12 taco and hate the new hood scoop. I understand that they are not functional on any year, but still, it's tiny and looks kind of pathetic. I know they also changed the headlights in '12 too. Does this mean that the '11 hood and '12 hood are not interchangeable?! I really wish I could do something to remedy this opinionated flaw!! Any ideas?!?! :sadviolin:

Why don't you just switch to a non-scooped hood? Then you know it will fit properly.

at first I thought the previous year scoops were cooler too, heck I've owned 2 sports previously. However, the more time that I own my '12 sport the more I love the sleeker scoop.

At first glance, I really didn't like tthe new facelift on the 12. But i got uused to it and I'm not a huge fan of old fascia. Kinda makes it look dated IMO.

You'll get used to the new scoop.

No one but enthusiasts will notice the difference between an 11 and 12 scoop. Since you're clearly some sort of enthusiast for noticing, I would suggest adding two stick on skewpz to the left and right of the main skewp. You could also follow up with a monster energy drink sticker for the complete package.

My next door neighbour just bought a '12 and and i'm always braggin' about how my scoop is bigger than his scoop. haha

Of course, the first day he had it, we went and landscaped a clients front yard and guess who put the first 4" long scratch on the tailgate?

    Yours truly, DUH!

Karma! Never put down another man's scoop!

It's the the size of the scoop that matters, it's all about the motion in the ocean.:taco:

Originally I thought the older scoops were better, but now I think the old ones look like gaping maws compared to the newer ones. The new ones are less gaudy and just plain cooler.

    eewps, I spelled scewps wrong.
