I'm not sure that any vehicle manufacturers read message boards. Stupid - even though 99% already own the vehicle, it's not like they won't purchase another (until you release a diarrhea looking car). Also, when you google any particular make of car and skip past the typical spam ads, you arrive at a message board that speaks truth. Car makers really enjoy the weak - but at the same time they just feed the aftermarket sector who typically do check message boards and suffer more from thread bashing (like this one).

Someone said in another 2013 bashing thread, chrome is outdated and bullshit. The people who choose to put chrome on their cars do not/cannot put chrome on their cars from the factory. Leave it to the aftermarket, autozone license plate holders, dumb shit rims.

The good news is they now have a diesel and V8 option as well as lockers front and rear standard even on 2wd's.

^^^ I would think that someone at Toyota looks at these. Can't only be from email surveys. I filled out an email survey from Toyota and it was a joke. I guess they migh target certain aspect of the Tacoma cause mine was heavily targeted on cabin storage. YES 9 cup holders is PLENTY!!!

Just a guess. MANY will like it, and Toyota will keep making them for a while.

Maybe the 2013 still have the 9 cup holders but with chrome inserts. You know that's going to sell, 9 cup holders with chrome in side them.

The Toyota.ca website has the 2013 on it but no pictures of it yet. They just have the 2012 model picture at the moment.

    Yeah.
Hey, some people buy those Lincoln and Cadillac trucks, and that F150 Platinum has a ton of bling. Maybe this is targeted at that crowd. Probably not the kind of folks we'd see on this board, but there's probably a market. Not sure that market would be willing to go Toyota mid-size, though.

Someone should Photoshop that into the side of the 2013 Tacoma picture.

True. Toyota wouldn't put this edition out for no reason. Trust me, somewhere there is a ton of market research that says those Platinum F-150 are going like hotcakes and they would like to get a share of that market.

So the point of this thread is what? To each his own for one thing, and there was and still is alot of people that think the 2012 front end is god awful. So people might think you're crazy for driving and liking a 2012.
