    So I bought my truck and I have NO idea what this is... It LOOKS like a camera/image sensor but I can't figure how it would be, it had a camera mounted underneath the rear bumper already... It's obviously a custom job, how would I go about figuring out what it is and how it works?

    Nope...I've seen the camera in the girls locker room mod, camera in my bedroom mod, camera on a dolphin mod....but I have never seen a camera in a brake light mod....

    Well I've got the Pioneer AVIC Z3 GPS unit... but as mentioned it already has the camera mounted under the bumper, is there a way to switch the source maybe?

    AHA! It IS a camera!! After some messing around I found out how it works!

    The double throw switch with the orange right next to my fog lights SELECTS which camera to use, the 3rd brake light or the one under the bumper, and the black switch to the right of that puts my GPS into "rear-view mode"
