Update: I now have angel eyes not working on the passenger side and the brow light not working on the driver's side. I've been back and forth with Revotec. They are saying the 2nd gen of these do not have the brow light as there are heat issues for the transformer in the housing. Because the warranty is only 90 days, they want me to pay shipping both ways, but will replace the lights.

I just don't like it without the brow line.

First I would like to thank you for these posts. Helped out a lot.

I bought the Eagle Eyes 2nd Gen. I like them. They look great. I am a little disappointed about the light on Low beams. They have a poor near reflection and cut off on the side view with limited side road light. High Beams is noticeable difference for the better. I did get the lights with the CFC on the top of the head light. I am wondering if mine are defective but since there is not any pictures showing the light on the ground, I cant compare.

The one issue I did see is that if you follow what is posted on the Lights H1 and H3 for the bulbs this is incorrect. It is H1 High Beams and H7 for the Low beams. Not sure why it states something different on the rear of the light. So I ordered the incorrect lights. Just and FYI.

    Thank you again

Glad it helped... I'll note that the ones I bought from www.octanemotorsports.com were Eagle Eyes... Not Revotec.

My bulbs burnt out quickly when I first installed them... However, I put some quality bulbs in and (knock on wood) haven't had any further issues.

No - mine is likely past warranty and I tossed out all the boxes when I installed them. Sorry man.

How are the eagle lights holding up? Also do they come stock with hids? Either way can I get some feedback about eagles and hids?

I had mine installed for less then a year and the CFL Halo's failed. There was not a fix so I installed Factories. I was very disappointed. I had an issue with them not fitting snug. There is an assembly under the head lamp and this would not sit snugg. It was slightly loose.

P.S. Each person has there own experience. Mine was bad. I will try the new ones that only have LED lights.

Aftermarket projectors are junk. The cutoffs are terrible, and with halogens they are worse than stock for brightness.
With HIDs they are about the same as stock, but the cutoff and beam pattern is still terrible.

Go with a proper projector retrofit in your stock housings.

IMHO if you're going for looks and like the look of it go for it. but if you want a true projector light output pattern, then I suggest retofit. I did a retrofit on a pair of OEM's and no regrets here. no fogging or leaking so far.

Aftermarket projectors are not yet available for the 2012-2014, and even when they become available.....

I know this post hasn't been active for a while and can't see starting a new post with the several I've read here at Tacoma world tonight. This post seems like just as good as many to ask follow up questions.

I definitely have read enough to be convinced that people that do not feel the after market complete headlight replacements produce the quality of light needed. Are there ANY brands out there that (a) don't fog AND (b) produce similar quality light to an OEM retrofit to LED?

Why don't LED Hall retrofit companies fabricate a quality completed headlight? My stock OEM reflector housings have years of fogging and or are starting to yellow/fade and I want to replace them anyway but I don't want to buy new OEM housings just to spend $500+ to retrofit them.

Next question for the fogging hole drillers. One poster said they drilled and still have fog here. Where, precisely, did you drill? Can you find stock photos online and edit photos with pen to show where you drilled?

And for those who did the Eagle gen 3 aftermarket on eBay... How long did they last? How did the light quality compare to stock OEM reflectors?

I just figured LED are energy efficient last forever and produce better light and have the added benefit of looking cooler.

Since this post, are there better or more reliable options?
