I work at Toyota Georgetown, KY in the QC department of power train testing. We test & run the 4 & 6 cylinder that goes in the Camry, Avalon, & Venza (same block as the Taco but different bore). Just 1 of the many test we do is 180 hours @ 6000 rpm's & full load on hi-speed. The engine & exhaust glow red! After a durability test, we tear down the engine to every last nut & bolt & examine the effect. Much of the concern is the bearings from the crank & con-rods. OH, btw, we only change the oil ONCE for the entire test! I am a firm believer in synthectic oil. Toyota had to change it's fuel rail to accomodate ethanol since it is so corrosive. The loss in gas mileage is NOT worth the cornhole burn. This years corn crop sucks & food prices will soar by next spring.

most fair thinking Americans know this.

It's all about political correctness and the Kool-Aide drinkers who subscribe to it.

I was under the impression that the whole point of legislating the use of ethanol was to start feeding more money into the biofuel industry so that it could start developing better tech?

From what I remember everyone knew it wasn't any better for the environment, but everyone also knew that no one would sink any significant money into advancing the technology until their was a larger market for the product.

Many folks who absolutely did not want Gitmo closed, who said we should not close Gitmo, now are holding the President at fault for changing his mind and not closing Gitmo.

1st part not true. I'll make a point when it fits...without anger or hostility toward other forum members.

and my post, like yours I quoted are both factually correct.

former President Clinton is an excellent speaker...also a liar and cheat.

however, most would take the disbarred liar or his cowardice wife over the failure currently living on Pennsylvania Ave.

    more facts.

I didn't say you were a dick , I said you tend to post politically

You want me to believe that the Republicans aren't liars or cheats ?

    Lol

    Welcome to politics

How the GOP can pretend that Obama didn't inherit the economy issues is beyond reasonable thought

bold = no, I don't want you to believe Republicians aren't liars or cheats. Matter of fact some...like President Nixon got caught doing just that.

I also don't believe President Obama is a liar or cheat...because he hasn't delivered on his promises/proposals, I just do not believe he is the man for the job.

Our country needs a business man, not another attorney. For this reason, along with others...I'd like to give Mr. Romney a shot. If he sucks at it...send him packing in 4 years as well.

I'd also like to see a 5 or 6 year single term for POTUS. too much time & money spent campaigning IMO

Correct me if I'm wrong , but Obama campaigned to pull out of Iraq , not Afghanistan , which the US has done

You need somebody that is going to deal with your debt crisis , end of story

and yes, reason we need a leadership team of business men/woman. not lawyers.

There are lots of articles out there that say that there is no evidense that ethanol increases your gas milage. I tried it myself and could not tell any difference, not to mention it cost me about 30 cents more per gallon.
