Thanks man! Lol. Honestly, its not too bad. Patience is all. The oem trim paint can be picked up at any local automotive store. Comes in a green can. Called OEM Trim Paint.

The tweeter rings? If thats what your referring to then they are talking about the little plastic clips on the backside. They are held in place by tabs that have been heated/melted and lock them in. Just a lighter and some patience and your good to go. Keep the flame off the plastic and just heat them up. Use a small flat head screwdriver to push and pop then out. After paint.. reinstall doing the reverse process. Pop in. Heat.

Its talked about in this thread somewhere. If you haven't read through it all, take some time and get all the info. Good luck.

2 questions: do you need to disconnect the battery to remove cluster panel? and, how does one remove shifter trim, to paint?

I dont think I did. No need. Might be good just in case tho. Are you talking about the thin chrome trim or the entire silver shifter cover?

Ive posted how to do it several times in here.. just use a small flat head and a small razor blade with alot of patience. Pull up on emblem carefully and cut through the soft plastic tabs underneath to cut it away from the steering wheel.

The entire silver cover. It looks like the chrome accent on the shifter housing comes off from the back side. But I need to get the cover off to paint it and then I'll pull off the accent piece.

Unscrew the shifter knob... then grab the entire shifter surround by the cup holder and outside of the surround.. firmly pull up. You wont break it. Its snapped into place.
