When you press the horn, is there power at the horns(the plug)? If so, you're horns are toast. Check fuses, then that. Boom. Let us know at this point.

This is for an 06, but shouldn't be any major changes, it IS just a horn.:)

Seems like the simplest way to approach this would be to have someone sit in the drivers seat to "honk" the horn, and use a test light or a volt meter to check power and ground at the horn relay. I believe the horn relay is in the under hood fuse box.

Note that the ground wire to the horn relay does run through the spiral cable. Lots of talk about those failing lately, though I haven't heard of the horn circuit failing specifically.

first I look at the fuse.(easy) After that I test for power at the horns and go back from there if I don't see power. If you have power, test the ground. If you have a good ground and power but no horn, replace

I had my horn go out when I had my 96. Went to the junk yard and got a used one to replace it. It worked great!

So I got the stupid fuse out. How do you check these big fuses? The little ones are clear and you can see if it's blown or not, but this is just a big light blue box that isn't see through.

Sorry man I'm still very much a noob when it comes to these sort of things. I basically only know how to get to the fuses in the box and that's about it.

I know I may be getting a bit ahead of myself, but since I've got the hood up and I'm sitting right next to my truck with my lap top I figured I'd put this picture up. Is this the horn itself?

So, now I'm little less worried about the horn. I just put a new serpentine belt on and now my idle is way low and it wants to die. I made a new post about it in technical chat. If you guys could offer any insight on what I did wrong and how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it!
