Did that...my ears were ringing for hours...didn't think we were gonna shoot much so the only ear protection I was wearing was a foam thing in my right ear. Figured the AR would only be used as a coyote killer. I shoulda know better that all the ammo we brought would be shot...

Zech how much do you usually pay for tracers? I bought some more last night for 30¢/ round of 5.56

We didn't pay for it; it was provided by the Corps. :D

You should be. I would hate to try to estimate the number of rounds I went through in that four years between small arms, rifle, machine gun, and explosives it was probably an easy 100k rounds.

Once to Iraq, Bahrain (w/ Saudi Arabia and Dijbouti), and Okinawa. The real ammo was burnt up in training during the work ups for the deployments. During one of my schools it was pretty common to shoot pistol and rifle for 7 or 8 hours a day. Machine gun training was/is a lot of fun and it only takes couple minutes to go through a couple hundred rounds of ammo.

I was lucky enough to get to train with and use every small arm and crew served weapon in the Marine Corps except actually dropping mortar rounds down the tube.

So, drove the truck today to see if the hunch i had was right.

Drove around until the engine warmed up, started getting the shudders, pressed the break down a bit, shudders went away! :D

So, either I need more trans fluid, or my torque converter is attempting to self-destruct

But (hopefully) at least I won't need a new/rebuilt tranny :yay:

Dang - I'm already set to go to the Ranger's game this next Saturday. Also - have you bought tickets to the Flying Saucer's Beer Fest in October? My wife and I'll be there for lunch and beer.

I think mine is trying to go; it seems to start slower and slower every week.

I call shenanigans - where did you get that Yeungling in a can?

California has too many people per square mile and I like it much more than New York.

    No; what's it like?

and the fact they are f*n Yankees. I'd rather move to Mexico then New York.
