Yeah, it really stood out. Tubbed wheels, full rollcage, saw an NOx button, it had 4 2-barrel downdraft intakes, eveything was safety wired. But I could never figure out what the motor was. Probabaly some sort of crate, no badging. Owner wasn't around.

 

Not live, but from this weekend. Ranger. Had cage/Kings coming out of the bed. Everything looked very new.

 

It was the Sutter Creek, CA, chili cookoff and car show. We got there just at the end after running around to wineries, so I didnt' get much of a chance to chat with owners, who were starting to leave. Not many more details than what you see in the pics. The Mach 1 was a 427 Cobrajet. I talked to the Land Rover owner quite a bit. He used to live in South Africa, and did it up in Rhodesian Army livery. And the Enfield is a bodged-together Mk 5 carbine lookalike. I called him on that, because I spotted the 7.62 magazine like the Indians used on their version of the Enfield (which never included a carbine version), and the real carbines built by the Aussies were all .303. really nice guy, and makes a living as a wreck diver in the Phillipines now. I need to go dive with him...
