so you just cut...put some rubber to join the stock to the snorkel?

then connect with a few inches of exhaust tube?

this won't be a safari so it'll be slightly different, but the antennae will still be in play...

Yeah I have Ecoroute from Garmin hooked into the OBD. I get a 9* rise while moving and up to a 25* rise with the engine hot at a stop light. I am looking here:

I am thinking all silicone pipe with stainless connections. 2 45* turns and a straight piece. Need to talk with them about diameters. It will not be a cost effective solution but should be nice and cool.

Bob I have a roll of flashing if we need some.

just got the instructions and there does not appear to be any need to modify the intake tubing that much...just cut off the half moon cup that rests inside the fender...this maybe a lot easier than originally planned... :hopingthatididnotjustjinxmyself:

there will be a 90* coming from the stock tube to a flexible hose that connects to a 90* that goes into the snorkel base.

minor modifications to the setup for this early product, but the final runs should be a fairly easy setup

hahahaha...ups still holds onto the snorkel...should be in my hands tomorrow though :D

moved forward on my truck transformation today thought...

    swapped these

out with the long in the with short...sound is a nice change...still throaty with the magnaflow cat back and the shorties give it a little extra...feels good driving too..

got a stock air intake back in, in preparation of the snorkel install. i have a new map for my maf calibrator from gadget waiting to put in, but i am having trouble syncing up my ecu with my program...so i have a phone call in with gadget that i hope he can help me out with..so i have to keep the truck in a closed loop as much possible..i think on the open loops my truck will be running a little lean which would not be good (current map is set for a volant intake which has a smaller diameter intake hose)

    so exhaust...check
    intake/snorkel...halfway there
reverse lights...low on the list but should be done by month end
brakes...hopefully ASAP, but work in process

also hope to do some body work and touch ups this month...skids, dents on body, and repaint my wheels

lol dam! I did my snorkel recently and the stud holes were a bit off as well. Ended up having to widen the holes a bit. Looks good with the silicone, may have to do that as well.
