Yea thats not a pump id mount in the bay.

 

this ^^ The hose from the pump is only 2-3 ft long.

The unit itself is small enough to fit under the hood. You would have to modify the hose coming out of the pump to be able to do it that way tho.

 

Could just do a quick disconnect and get a wound up hose seperate..id rather have an ARB tho if your gonna do that. or something with more balls.

 

I remember reading about those, but heard that was something negative about them? Would be very nice tho.

My ARB is nice but I wish I woukd have bought the bigger one. It still takes a while to fill up tires. Remember filling up using Bens after 7 mile? We would lock the hose on, BS for a few minutes, and then check it.

 

Ive ran on board air before. twin via air 500's but they still aren't that fast.. i think my next one will be the arb comp. but the big one.

 

The dual one looks sweet. Freakin expensive tho..its more pricey then a 20lb CO2 setup..which would do all our tires in under 3-4 mins including getting a hose out to do it and putting it away. Its soooo fast.

 

The big one is the one I wish I would have got. 100% duty cycle (although I've never had an issue with my 50%) and just over twice the amount of air at 30 psi over mine. I've heard people say you can run air tools on it, but when I looked into that it can only run some of the lower requirement ones. It would keep up with the higher tools with a tank a lot better than other compressors though.

 

im not gonna run air tools just a locker and air up tires. maybe a blow gun every now and then but that's if i pack a spair air tank. like a 5 gallon.

 

I run ARB's medium sized compressor and it runs lockers and fills up my 4 tires in a reasonable amount of time and I have used it to blow out my air filter without a tank on it. It does fine although the blowing would go a little faster with a tank. It can keep blowing alright on its own but its not nearly as hard as it blows when the tiny tank built.into the compressor it full.

Its amazing to me that it has already been a month since we went wheeling on the magruder/lolo. Anyway, here are some pics of one of my favorite places in eastern wa, Palouse Canyon. I drove thru the area on my way back home last month.

I have a 2lb and a 5lb co2 tank but i still like compressed air. it's never runs out. and they charged me 75bucks last time i got my little bottle refilled. At that rate a comp. pays for it's self quick.

 

Awesome pictures Mike. Reminds me othe the mini Grand Canyon here. Except the water, we dont have much of that.
