got my maf calibrator re-mapped...had issues connecting to the ecu..

talked with gadget and he pointed me in the right direction..

issue was with my usb>serial...on a quick search in google, brought me to a tech writeup done by split second and they mentioned that these usb>serial connections have drivers that need to be installed...well i looked in the box and sure enough, a driver cd, a mini cd, but it had what i needed..

just plugged in and connected just fine once i found my Com port (mine went to Com 8)..opened my fuel map and wrote to the ECU...hopefully that did it

started it up and the startup ran smooth (start up cycle runs on an open loop)..so that's a start...guess i'll run WOP on the way home and see how she runs..

I had the same issue, first time I used a USB to serial cable. Felt like such a dummy. All good after that though.

Had a chance to drive it around and see how it does yet?

not yet...just started it up to make sure shit didn't blow up

can't wait to really see how the short tubes feel when i hit it harder this time...i was reluctant in the morning due to the fuel maps being tuned for my prior setup..

i'll have to keep an eye out for more maps to see if anyone has one more tuned to my full setup..right now i'm back to the stock setup from gadget..

not sure if having thorley's short tubes and a magna flow cat back would change things at all..or the fact that i live at 6000ft and frequent the mountains weekly between 8000-10000ft and occasionally the truck will see 11-12k

Nice. Were you able compare the articulation from your stock CV to the CVJ one? Have you wheeled with it sense? How is it holding up? Is it "maintenance free"?

Just getting info because I am currently trying to piece together a spare parts stash and I like this option compared to Autozone shiz.

    yea, i've wheeled with it..

it's a toyota axle that is just rebuilt. so there is no difference really between the OEM and the CVJ..the CVJ has their own boots which is the main difference, but i have not noticed a difference at all...

i would definitely go CVJ over autozone or napa anyday! rebuilt OEM vs aftermarket crap? not even close..

8 tires or two sets of four. I'm pretty sure he hates me as its not just an easy drop off. When he dropped of my Demello sliders he asked what the hell I was building in there.:D

Nah keeping with 33's just one set for the trails and some AT's for the street. I need to get another set of wheels just not sure what I'm going with yet. Most likely just another set of enduro's?

I must have killed my alignment in Moab this year cause it destroyed a set of brand new Mickey Thompson MTZ's on the drive back. They got louder with each 1000 miles we drove.
