Keyless Lock and Unlock chime

Does this really apply on the 05's Tacomas? In the video he said 05 and up Toyota Tacoma. I tried it but it didn't work for me. I want the chime but not bad enough to spend money on the chime mod. Anyone else with an 05 want to try this?

Go under the hood and pull the wire out of the back of the chirper ... 3 seconds ... done.

 

OP said he *wants* the chime...so this suggestion may be detrimental to accomplishing that...

 

There is no chime/chirp on my '06 and there never has been. I think it only came as a dealer installed option in certain regions (i.e. Gulf States Toyota) . . . ?????
