Truck Lurches and Doesn't Take Off

So today I noticed I came to a stop sign and my truck jerked and jolted like I had been rear ended. I was so confused. Then when leaving a parking space this afternoon I put the truck in drive and the gas pedal felt like it shuttered (or maybe the whole truck did). I got out and inspected the vehicle, got back in, put in drive, and took off with no issues. Unable to recreate the problem. What could this be? As a side note the local tire shop was messing around with my left rear drum brake for what seemed to be way too long just because I was curious as to how much brake pad material I had left. I'm not sure if maybe they could have screwed something up to cause this or not.

 

Search for axle wrap.

 

Is it happening when your air conditioning is on?

 

I really thought about this already as well! Most plausible???

It's normal but no one knows the real cause. For me, mine use to do it but since I serviced my transmission it doesn't do it anymore. I changed 6-7 quarts of fluid and the filter.

 

Either defrost setting selected ?

 

Foot&window setting may have been selected. How does that affect things? My tranny fluid just got flushed by the dealership like 6,000 miles ago.

 

The AC compressor cycles even if the AC is off if either defrost setting is selected

 

Mine has done this a few times as well, first time I thought someone hit me, then it did it again at a stop light. It almost feels like its going to lurch forward but my foot is on the brake so it moves maybe 1/2" inch.

 

Well today it happened again. To note I always use my parking brake when parking. I released it, put in drive, and the truck wouldn't take off. I put on parking brake and put in park in an attempt to lock it into the position it currently was so I could see my leaf packs. Everything looked fine back there and when I went to hop back in it was still acting up. I finally got it to start taking off but I could hear something and felt resistance (possibly/probably the brakes) and pumped my brake pedal a few times and I was good to go. What could they have messed up within the rear drum brake to cause this? Has anyone else experienced a problem like this?

 

Well I came back to the tire shop. Some springs in the drum are messed up. They are currently in the process of fixing it. (installing new springs)
