What trails? Unfortunately I have a stock prerunner so I am limited on the type of trails I can go on.

Unless you're on private property w/permission, there's no legal trails I know of in the area. A few FS roads around the lake but they're nothing special.

Like I said, no legal trails. Scott's Ferry and the property around the lake is Corps of Engineers land and they do not permit off roading of any kind. Besides all the roads in their hunting areas are maintained better than FS roads.

You're right. They don't care if you're out there. But vehicles cannot leave designated roadways (aka the gravel access roads). If you notice, the unpaved trails typically have signs saying "foot traffic only". Sure people go muddin out there and you may have gotten away with it, but if a COE ranger or even worse ,a SCDNR ranger (they're not as leanient as COE) sees you riding in undesignated areas, you may get a ticket.

Not trying to be a dick I'm just tryin to look out for ya buddy

    I put gas in it...
If you go to lake springs and walk off to the right of the ramps you'll see some pretty nice ruts over there. I didn't realize it was frowned upon by the COE until I got stuck :p.

I've driven off the beaten trail a few times to put my boat in the water when ramps were to low. I just drove down the bank til i found some deep water and backed er up :D

When I got stuck though I was just fartin' around playing with my 4WD. Tried to cross the revien and rolled back just enough to sit my rear bumper on the dirt behind me :/. Rear tires were just a danglin' lol and with front, stock tires in sand I wasn't coming off any time soon...

Probably the closest place to us is Duramtown. Somebody needs to buy some land in Augusta and make some trails :)

Brand new to the forums. Military stationed in England right now, but moving to Augusta area next February. First order of business when I get back stateside: buy a new TRD O/R DCSB. Nice to know there are some others in the area to help me as I dream up a list of mods and look for good places to hunt and fish.

Priorities #2 and #3 are finding a house for the family and starting on the long list of mods I've already dreamed up, but the wife and I have them ranked differently. Looking forward to owning my own, starting a build, and meeting a bunch of you in person to compare notes.
