I thought that was the second half of the number, I was using the numbers from the previous post...

    84652-04141 2005 - 08 Tacoma
    84652-02610 2009 - 11 Tacoma
    84652-02710 2012 - ? Tacoma

Either way, I'll just get a 2012 wiper stalk and just use it, rained again on the way to work and I really would have liked them... Argh!

    Oops... Ya, you're right.

As mentioned, and I'm as OCD as anyone, you'll get used to the direction of the knob.
Regardless of the graphic (which you can't see because the wheel blocks it), you get used to either "turning up" the delay, or "turning up" the wiper frequency.

All this talk about intermittent wipers working in reverse, unreal. I am a limo driver and today I drove a Caddy and a Lincoln and it was raining. They work the same as my 2012 Tacoma with the upgrade. The small short line is the slow position and the big fat line is the fast position. Turn toward driver for slow position and turn forward to speed up. Unbelievable!

i agree, i believe the new tacoma's are supposed to be that way. for some reason people are calling it 'reversed' when its actually been changed by toyota themselves.

My '08 with the part number indicated above (84652-04141) is the opposite.
    Wide line = longer delay.

But it's natural... Pop the stalk down to INT, turn the control "down" to go faster, then when it bottoms out, pull the stalk "down" to the first speed.

I'll double check tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure that's how it worked last week.

The wiper stalk has the right side mounting hole for the screw that holds the plastic on the column. When you tighten the screw, it is a little harder to tighten than the left screw because you are cutting new theads. Also the plastic has 1/8 inch high dowel pins, so be careful when putting the plastic back together.

After squirting the windshield, the wipers do two swipes:)
Beats having to turn on the wipers after squirting the windshield.

What a difference the intermittent wipers make. I was done in about 15 minutes while snapping a couple pics along the way. The hardest part was trying to get the plastic to pop off. The left side popped off in a couple seconds, but the right side would not pop. I had to find a skinny flat blade screwdriver to slide between the piece to push the tab back.

Had the opportunity to confirm (and remembered to mentally note) that the above is correct.
Knob turned all the way down to the narrow line is the shortest delay... 2 seconds or so between swipes.
All the way up at the wide line is the longest delay... 10-12 seconds.

Same here. I thought for sure there was a defect. But if you read in the manual it states it's supposed to be that way. All my other vehicles it's opposite.

    Those are good shots Mike.

As a side note, the connector under the ignition switch with 2 wires on it... Unplug that and you no longer have that annoying beep when you stop at a gas station and open the door while leaving the key in.

Is that the connector with the white and blue/yellow wires in it shown above?

I think so. It's the only 2-wire connector on the ignition switch, right?

Side note, if you are going to be taking the truck in for the spiral cable recall, I'd wait and unplug it after that.

x3, mine is same as this & the one on my car is same way - wide line is longer delay and short line is shortest delay vs wide line meaning more wiping and short line meaning less wiping. INT = delayed wiping so wide line being longer delay just makes more sense IMO but is still nothing to make any big deal about. Adapt and do what works. No different than the + and - on the sport shifter being opposite in my car and the wife's car. Pulling back is + in my car and - in hers. Insignificant shit. Important thing is does it work or not regardless of orientation.
