John, do you need anything special to mount the yellow top? I've read some confusing information, some say you need spacers, some have had the poles reversed, etc. Can I just drop this in, hook up the connectors and strap it down with the stock battery tie down?

It comes with the plastic spacer . The battery isn't as tall as the stock battery so you just lay the spacer down and the battery sits on top of it. You use the stock tie downs as well . If you want I can take pictures if needed . I have one in my truck like this and it doesn't move around or anything.

I'm glad I didn't have to finance my truck. No added weight on my shoulders. And nice! The 5th generation 4Runners are growing on me. They definitely need different wheels and tires to not look narrow and top heavy.

I like the Trail Teams FJ! It comes with a lot of useful stuff!

It pisses me off that (from what I've seen/heard) the trail 4Runner doesn't come in red! It's a "Sport" edition! Sports cars always come in red! What the actual fuck, Toyota!?

No need for pictures, I can use the search feature (the CA folks would be so proud). :D

I'm debating... I don't want to spend the money now since my battery still seems to be going strong but, that's a good price on an Optima, mine is 5 years old and we're heading into winter. Decisions...

Uh oh....Where would I find the info to see if it's compatible with the JBL package?

According to Crutchfield it is, I think. I put in the make and model with JBL and RDS.

    http://www.crutchfield.com/S-y4bwnNnjPV4/p_130P2400BT/Pioneer-AVH-P2400BT.html

Yeah, that's what I did with my other car. Just trying to avoid doing that though. I have so many damn wires. I only have one cigarette lighter thing to charge two phones out of.

Well just let me know when you figure it out.

I would think that when you put into that port it will charge your phone too. But I may be wrong .

Weird .. I had a droid phone awhile back and I just bought a aux wire . Plug it into the aux port on the front of my head unit in my Honda and it played music and charged it .

Got a quote from the Toyota body shop. They think they can do it for $1,835.

I went to Gigliotti's in Wakefield, they estimate $814! Fuck Toyota!

Now to order my bumper and get this shit rolling!

Toyota is using Toyota oem body parts. I would guess the other place is not.

I'm just having them fix the quarter panel and paint it. I have replacement tails coming soon and I might have them paint and install the steel bumper too. But for JUST the body with paint, it's $814 at the local shop.

There you have it, give them a new panel to paint (prep it yourself and save some $$) and do the install yourself once it's freshly painted.

BTW, just my 2c's but if you body match a plate bumper and scratch it aren't you gonna have to go back to a body shop to have shot again? Kinda counter productive isn't it? Matte black ftw.

Hell I could do even better than the 310. As low as $250.
