Just read an atricle that said the Flames players are opting out of their 32nd anual charity golf tourny so they can attend the CBA. The event raised $320k last yr for the charity.

Do all 20some players need to attend? Unless theres more to the story, this just shows that the players are just as greedy if not more than the owners.

I think Krejci will prob be gone. He is a great player but is not really living up to the top center position he has. Horton could also be gone at the end of next year. Lucic would have a high return but I don't think the Bruins will let him go unless it is an extremely lopsided deal in their favor.

 

yeah, no kidding. They have a more crafty lawyer apparently. Perhaps a more ruthless tactic as well. It will be interesting to seee how this plays out.

He is well liked when he is on the ice. The problem is the concussions and not playing. He elevates the play of the first line and it seems like him and Lucic try to impress each other with their play. Plus he brought garden ice water with him to Vancouver so that kind of made him a folk hero.

 

Yeah the players are looking bad for this.

Nobody is mentioning the beer guys, foodstands, stadium crew, ice girls, ect.. that all take a hit in a lockout.

the NHL desperately needs some good markets. Even moreso, they need a commisioner who will allow teams to move into them .The NHL is becoming a shit-show in the management department

PHX, FLA, Columbus...all could move to Seattle, Quebec and Salt Lake City...All would be much better hockey markets.

After the Nash deal who in their right mind in Columbus would buy season tiks now. That team is in the gutter for the next 10 yrs.
