Tacky? More like dangerous. If you get in a head on collision that box will crush you.

i have a bolt going through where the seat belt is and another going to where the flip down seat would latch, hopefully it'll do something if i crash. any suggestions to reinforce it more? i admit its pretty ghetto but i made it for bass

I have no idea. I got rid of my 12W7 in a slot ported box for that reason. No way to anchor it down and feel safe about it.

with the kind of shit out there these days, spend a litte more money and get 2 small subs to fit properly for the truck, i bet with the right amp and the quality of subs, you will get very close to the bass you are getting now. Also i dont see the point of having that much bass right behind your head not good for you or your truck in the long run. it seems like you need the bass for the crowd more than you need it for yourself. You can get Bass and looks both at the same time dont have to choose between one. If you were in Houston i woudve helped you getting dirt cheap Audio equipment. GL with everything.

Could not agree more with the concept of two smaller good quality subs. There has to be a line between how much bass you want and what's practical, and in this case also what's safe and not safe. I have 2 kids so safety first, so what can I fit safely in the area I have, then what components will work within that space to get me as close to the desired amount of bass I want. I'm going with 2-8" subs that fits behind my rear row. I'm all about sound quality inside my ride, don't want ppl hearing me coming down the street...u7y7yzeq_3a108a032e3215d0190512b443f01be440038049.jpg

I have a couple subs. When I had a car they were in the trunk in a bandpass box. If I put that in my truck I would not have back seats at all. This time around I was thinking some quality 6" or 6x9s would put out a decent amount of bass. I don't really need the neighborhood hearing my beats lol.

Kind of off subject but after about a week of listening to my new stereo I am realizing I do not hear pandora commercials anymore?? I use to use a fm transmitter and every few songs I would get a commercial, now that I'm controlling it with my kwr500 no commercials.... I am not paying for pandora... Anyone else have This deck and notice this?

I can't get my pandora to work with my android phone. Do you have an iphone or android? I just wish it would work.. Then I wouldn't have to worry about trying to find new songs to buy.

Get a Kicker Hideaway and slip it under the driver's seat. No cutting.

    http://mobile.jvc.com/apps.jsp

If you read where is says listen to pandora with android via bluetooth. Sounds like it has to be connected through Bluetooth to work, I could be wrong. If you can't find the app that works, I would contact jvc I'm sure they would help.
