I don't think this guy knows the Warn M8000 can be found online new for the same price he is asking for used...

I am up in Corvallis. I only know of a few places near me (Mary's Peak mostly) but if you hear of a place down closer to Eugene, let me know and we can check it out. Always looking to get my truck a little dirty.

Ahhh! K, I hope it doesn't need a resistor. I have no clue what that is nor do I know how to install/add one :(

Joe, I have one of the lighted 4x4 switches. I personally like it... could even be brighter for me. I just think it's one of those, "why the hell did Toyota not do this?" The guy that makes them works for the company that engineers the switch. It is the same damn switch basically as the 4Runner, just no lights. His company asked Toyota if they just wanted to save cash and make one lighted switch... Toyota said no, and we continue having an unlighted switch... WTF???

Looks like a normal winch to me. Are you looking an integrated solenoid perhaps? The one in the pic is non-integrated.

In most cases with lights resistors are used to lessen the power that reaches the lights. You can just wire them inline with a power wire.

An example: in my 86 camaro i put a temp gauge in it the lit up with blue light, the light was almost unbearable when driving and ruined the ride at night. Putting a resistor in-line with the lights power wire it dimmed it down to make it nice and soft.

Nice! Yeah, not sure why Toyota didn't do it in the first place  Is it pretty easy to install? Which power option did you go with?

I just want the M8000. I don't even know what the solenoid does or why it would ever be non-integrated. If the winch I buy online is the same winch that fits the ARB bumper, I'm happy.

I know. I liked how the M8000 retails for $1200. Ha

Pretty easy. Power was hardest part. I believe I did add-a-fuse for that one.

Solenoid is the little box where your controller gets plugged. I'm expecting Zach to get his college learn-on here and take us to class on what it really is...
Integrated = solenoid is permanently attached to top of box
Non-Integrated = solenoid can be relocated, but requires wires from winch to solenoid.

here's an example of an integrated winch where the solenoid is permanently affixed to the top.

here's a non-integrated. notice how the solenoid box is it's own separate thing.

Oh ok. Lol I can only imagine how crappy it is driving at night with a bright blue light beaming at your face! I don't think I'm going to do the LED swap for my exterior lights since I PM'd the seller and he doesn't carry LEDs for brake lights. I don't want my 3rd brake light more brighter than my two brake lights :(

Only reason why I wanted brighter tail lights is because they are tinted, I recently removed my 3rd brake light tint.
