I agree. The reason i work out is to stay healthy and in shape, getting injured while doing something benificial for my health is a contridiction.

Dont get me wrong, i want to get buff and strong. But what i dont want is to be one of those O.G. body builders walking around with a limp.

Do you guys know of any good "How to Deadlift" videos? I looked through youtube. But it seems like a lot of people have different opinions on how to...

Check out starting strength or anything from Pavel (Dragondoor.com).....essentually bar over mid-foot, shoulders over the bar, ass out, shins as vertical as poss with chest and head up (neutral really). Pull by standing up with your ass not the upper body and keep the bar close to your shins/legs as you come up (think just shy of scraping them). Let the bar come down in the same path but don't slow it down, let it drop under control.

That's the best I can explain and works for me.....practice with just a bar until you get it.

    This seems to be decent....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0PwBezUj9A

It seems like when i drink lots of beer i have a belly. Then when don't drink lots of beer i have abs. They can't possibly be related though.

You're lucky, when I stop drinking the belly stays! :(

I had a buddy that would switch from whole to skim milk and be ripped in a week and would just keep switching if he wanted to bulk or cut.....that bastard!

    Classic ecto vs mesomorph!

Too many try to "bulk up" too fast and only add additional, unwanted bodyfat to their frame, thus causing them additional work and calorie drop come summer. Dieting too fast you may end up losing weight, but at the cost of it being muscle. It's a marathon, a lifestyle. Not a sprint. Lean and mean year around is where its at.

What's the secret without using any gear? Calories slightly above maintenance?

I'm finding it hard to do that much cardio and work legs? My recovery sucks in general and 5 days a week is all I've got.

Do you do cardio after training or 2 a days?

    What's the issue?
For let day, either do 2 a days, or some LISS for 30mins or so post workout. LISS will not hurt it.

What's LISS? I'm usually pretty sore, DOMS for a couple days after legs.

I've always wanted to try krav maga, how do you like it?

Doing some cardio usually helps my soreness. I run for health/weight control, and elliptical/bike after lifts to help with soreness from squats, deads, and running.

Stair stepper would kick my ass after leg day, lol!

I find running sometimes zaps my leg strength if I do it the day before and if I run after legs the DOMS stays longer. That's just me and prob need to build up volume slowly over a longer period of time. I'm also a hardgainer so i should be pounding legs and running should be the supplement but I really enjoy running. Sprints/hills and BW strength stuff are my staples.

I honestly don't get stair steppers. All you do is lift your leg up and then your body weight does the rest. Want stairs? Run real stairs!

Ya, my calves are smoked from running up 7 flights (2 stairs at a time) 4 times.......ridiculous on the lungs and legs. I always liked watching the chicks on the stair stepper though!
