I bought a used 2008 tacoma and can not seem to find the lug nut key. Is there a special place this is kept or do I have to get one new from somewhere? Stock rims...

Go to Wal-Mart, pick up "gator grip socket" it's a universal socket for any nut or bolt. Lightly grind off the round portions of the pins in the socket so that you are left with a nice flat edge on the pins. The press it over your keyed lug nut and turn. It should grab enough to undo your lug nuts if they are not over torqued

Go to Les Schwab, they normally have all the most popular ones and you can buy them form them.

Went to the local big tire shop, charged me 60 bux to remove all 4, and 15.50 for new regular toyota replacement factory lugnuts. Got the tires balanced and an alignment done while it was there just to make me feel better as the truck was just bought used a couple months ago! All was well except 2 tires were quite a bit out of balance causing the shake I was experiencing! They just gave me a print out of the alignment and said they were not going to charge me for an alignment because it was good. Very good experience for me! I thought it was gonna be real expensive to fix the lugnut issue....
