Lol i don't have a welder nor materials... Problem is .... it looks as though your tool box sits inside the bed rails so there not a worry on length between vertical supports. Mine sit's on top. So i would need to make sure the supports allow the room in between and making sure height on the rack isn't a problem..... It owuld be a shame to build it them decide i dislike it hahah

my toolbox sits on top, it also doesn't open all of the way, but i knew that would happen when i built the rack.

here's a picture, before the shovel/hilift/fire extinguisher, etc.

I really like your rack :O How far does the toolbox open? Enough that it stays propped open and you have no problem getting stuff in/out?
Just crawled through this thread page by page in reverse order until I found where you built your rack. Hahaha.

Don't remember the number off the top of my head but it's somewhere in the post #200 area. Page eleven or so.

14 inches between the bed rail and bottom of the tube.

it opens about 2/3 of the way. stays upmost of the time, but i got it used, and the gas shocks are a little worn, so sometimes it closes itsself.

1'' x thick as hell'' - used for the floor frame, light hoop and main brace. used about 15-20 feet.

3/4'' x not quite as thick'' - used for the floor grid, light hoop deviders, and basket sides. used about 25-30 feet.

sorry, i threw that rack together real quick before i moved back to florida, and can't remember actual thicknesses. the 1'' tube has a wall thickness greater than .120'' closer to 1/4''. heavy as hell......it was designed to be able to tilt the truck over into a tree and work as a "slider" for the roof.
