    My post wasn't to claim that only the non-tech savvy would enjoy using an iPhone. More to the point, those who aren't tech savvy will appreciate the simplicity of the iPhone interface. Personally, I like to be able to tweak my electronics to suit my personal needs and the Apple products don't offer anywhere near the customization that I require. There are lots of other differences but for purpose of this conversation I think such details aren't necessary. Just told him that an iPhone would likely fit the bill for his first ever smart phone and to do his own personal research before buying which is something everyone should do anyway. Going off of 'what most people use' alone isn't a good tactic. After all, an awful lot of people out there watch the Kardashian shows... doesn't mean it's worth your time to follow the pack.
