If there wasn't any religion don't you think people would still did something to fight over? I think it has more to do with ignorance and lack of respect than religion, there are plenty of religious people who are tolerant and peaceful.

I dont know. That's kind of a big leap for me, I think no matter what people are going to find something to bitch about and that will always lead to fighting on a large scale.

There's also plenty of people of the same religion that fight each other, Turks, Kurds, Persians, Sunni, Shia, Pashtuns, Catholics, Protestants, ect....Once you get passed religious qualms, you get into ethnic qualms. There will always be differences, there will always be fighting, there will always be war. The only thing you can do is be the best at it

although you have to understand the region and mindsets/cultures, you can't leverage what you know and do on a daily basis to arrive and any conclusion(s).

Exactly, people will always hate each other. I see your point though because the belief that "my god is better than your god" will intensify the passion that the fighters will have if they belief their god is backing them and they will go to heaven if they kill the other.

Funny to me how people think Israel attacking Iran is a good idea.
First, Iran is not a push over of a country that will be overthrown in a matter of weeks like Iraq. They have a huge military and are backed by several other large nations with large militaries. If Israel attacks Iran it will start a "world war". This will include north Korea and all of it's nukes. I don't think we want that.
I've always been torn about how to handle situations in foreign countries. Do we provide aid? Or let them handle it on their own? Pros and cons to each, imo.
The attack in Libya was the work of a few and the nations population can't be held responsible for it. There are terrorists in every country, including ours.

If you were part of a new nation that was founded right after someone tried to exterminate everything about you from the Earth, and you were surrounded by other nations that want to kill you just as bad, you would take the initiative to take out anything before it even becomes a threat.

They stuck Iraq's reactor's in 1980, Iraq had a huge army, but there was
very little they could do. And the international community did nothing. Iran has even fewer options available. They may have a large army but it can't go anywhere. Nobody is saying for Israel to invade Iran. All they need is a few precision strikes. The Israeli PM is a bad ass, he will do what he can to protect Israel.

And to ad, the nut job at the wheel in Iran has made public speeches and addresses to the UN saying the Holocaust was a fabricated hoax in order to give the jews the land, and that Isreal should be wiped off the face of the world.

I'd say they have reason to be concerned with Iran having Nukes( or very very near), not to mention they have the means to deliver a small -medium payload all over the Mid-east

If Israel wants to take out "threats"...they would have destroy the entire middle east. "Bad ass" means nothing when those few precision strikes justifies Iran to fling nukes at your country and actually does wipe you off the map. I'm in no way a supporter of Iran and it's policies...I'm a supporter of common sense. Also, if you think it's going to be Israel vs. Iran, you're wrong. It'll be Israel, us, France, the UK vs Iran, n. Korea, possibly even Russia. Again, I promise you, you don't want that. It's all fine n dandy until the shit hits the fan in your own backyard. The u.s. has enough enemies...Israel vs Iran will make it 100 times worse.
Also, I am a part of a people that was attempted to be wiped out. I happen to be Armenian...and a genocide greater than the one against the Jews was committed against my people in 1915. The Armenian community doesn't wage war against it's neighbors to the west on a daily basis even though much of our land was taken from us.

How the hell does this keep happening? We know it's going to happen so there is no reason we should be caught by surprise. I don't know how embassy's work but the explanation that I could think if is if they somehow infiltrated the security of the embassy and gave them an easier way in? Im also not sure exactly how they got in, I probably need to do some reading.
