It was a great day for me overall. My order from cabelas came in, and I also decided to try out my new release...

I had gotten a new trufire release about 3 days ago, so i wanted to try it out today..Headed out to the normal practice spot and set up my deer about 25 yards away from the dirt pile I shoot off of. All was well and good till i tried some new gloves I got from cabelas..Made the shot, went over the deer and i saw it skip on a dirt birm, and i heard "thock"..knew it hit a tree, just not sure where. Went off to find it, with no luck after about 10 mins. Kept shooting my other 3 untill i switched back to my new trufire...second shot i head "twack"

[IMG] I shot it DEAD CENTER..couldnt ask for a better shot
    [IMG]
[IMG]I found my arrow while leaving to go home..bout 3' up.

Sorry about the pics...didnt occur to me that I had a cell camera untill i pulled them outta the deer, and i was looking at them on my truck

don't do that too often, it gets expensive after while... what kind of trufire release? I have the bulldog buckle, but recently have been giving some thought to a hand held release.

yup..these arrows are $60 from cabelas...on sale for $44..guess ill go buy a couple dozen..lol

EXCELLENT RELEASE in my opinion..I did alot of research on them before I bought this one. Trufire 3d hunter 4finger.
Shipped for under $60 on ebay. Local retailers were just under $80, without tax.

I also had a regular wrist style release. I had just bought a fletchers .44 caliper release about a month ago, but I was intrested to see if the claims of the handhelds actually help you group better...Boy it sure does. I was shooting 3-4" groups at 25 yards..now Im doing robinhoods at 25 yrds. Id buy it again.

I thougt about it, and I tried out some 3 finger ones at the local place..Just seems to put to much stress on just 3 fingers, pulling back 50+ pounds. Im pulling 60 lbs, and my 4 finger makes it easy as cake to pull back. If you do look for a release, do shop around on ebay also..I got a killer deal including shipping for mine. Check out http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Bowhunters-Superstore__W0QQ_armrsZ1

Ive ordered a bunch of stuff throu them, and its always priced right.

they actually have the same deal on the release I got..$55 plus $6.xx for shipping.

im not sure either..I had a few bumps with it when I first got it, but its all worked out now and I really wouldnt shoot anything else to be honest with ya. Theres only one thing I wish that Parker would tackle, and its that the bow is on the louder side. But hey, what do ya expect for a $350 bow? lol
