Appears so but I would ask. I had the same question when I bought mine off of craigslist and they were sold to me for 75.

I understand having the high pressure available but why CO2 vs. air?

You can compress co2 to higher pressures... Than air ..... Thus more supply in a smaller package

Look out for snakes in the grass guerrilla marketing.
Got this for free when I got my steps but it doesn't fit my 2012 so putting it up here first. There is a small rub on the bar from shipping so I'll just ask $90 for the whole thing, it's brand new and has all the hardware still in the shrink wrap :)

Local pickup only, I'm located in Lantana which is between Boynton Beach and Lake Worth.

Pic with the small rub included below, send me a PM if you're interested.

you can actually compress them the same amount. both a CO2 tank, and a scuba tank (filtered air) are "full" at about 3000 psi. the reason you use CO2 is because at that pressure, it turns to a liquid. a tank full of 3000 psi liquid CO2 provides thousands of times more volume once it turns into a gas, than 3000 psi of air already in gas form. if you remember your days in chemistry, it's all about volumetric density..............and you thought they were just teaching you useless info ;)

Yeah, I don't think they knew about that stuff when I took chemistry back in the stone ages.

i made my own hardware since jason didn't have the original. all you really need is some bolts with hooks on the end. the hooks go into the bed rails and sinch down nice and tight. there are other hols in the box if you want to further secure it.

the bolts tighten from the inside, so unless you have a key to the box itsself, yes, it's secure from being stolen.
