I leaned out big time on the zone and did prob 50-75% paleo foods but need to add some muscle so I'm just upping my blocks until i'm happy. Will prob keep it semi paleo as I don't see a point in being that strict!

Ya being strict is realllllly tough. Takes alot of time and effort. And especially for days like today after our brutal WOD. I love the satisfaction of an ice cold beer. Cant beat it

My wife is the cook at the house so I eat what she cooks mostly. She is a clean eater so we dont eat bad by any means.

For this weekends workouts we plan on going to the highschool football feild and doing some barefoot sprints, tire flips, and field goal pull ups

Hell ya, this summer I went to one of the schools by me and did some tire flips and random stuff......those tires are no joke, 300-500lbs some of them. One of my fav's is to run a lap but when you pass the goal post you do pull ups, push ups or burpees.....keep this up for 4-6 laps and you're smoked.

Nice. I think Ill set up the tire at one end and have the goal post at the other.

40 barefoot sprint then 5 pull ups, 40 yard sprint back then 5 tire flips
as many times as I can.

Ill let you know how it goes on monday. Probably something like this = :bananadead:

There's a few products that seem to be popular in the crossfit community that seem that way.

Absolutely nothing special about it. They just happen to be the company that was first to jump on the Crossfit bandwagon and gave HQ the most money to be a sponsor of it. Similar to Reebok.

Stopped by my local CF gym yesterday. They moved locations and dropped their price to $100 a month or $90 for mil, first resp, students, govt.

Im thinking about joining again. He also said he is thinking of adding a "zombie survival" crossfit class! haha

How do you like that format? ME strength then a small WOD?

Thinking of doing something like this as I need to work on the basic lifts and conditioning at the same time and really don't want to drop one for the other. Where are you getting these WOD's from?

I like the format a lot. And because I'm not currently at a cf gym, doing it this way is also easier for me to do at my local globo gym (only there b/c its 35/mo and has an indoor lap pool) or at home/in a field. I do a lot of my own programming but if I'm struggling for ideas I will also cruise through other sites (local boxes, outlaw, New England, etc) to spark some creativity. I want to mix in more movements than what I've experienced at my local box. For instance, last night I did this:

    4XMax Effort Strict Pullups

    Then

3Rnds (Just so happens that I'm on another mid-length wod since the last post) anyway...

300m Backwards Run carrying 23lb Med Ball
    20 Med Ball Cleans @ 23lb
    10 HSPU

One thing I want to accomplish is to mix in more movements. Sadly, I think the last time I did a reverse run (weighted or not) in a workout was like 2 years ago  So while I search for a new crossfit box to join I want to take advantage of writing my own workouts and not settle on a gym that only follows the main site, the girls or hero wods, etc.

Anyway...I went off on a bit of a tangent there lol
