    nice.

leafs are falling here. also i’v been reading stuff on TNweatherspot.com. from what they can tell right now. looks like we will have a good winter, it’s saying normal to bad. witch makes me really happy, since we hardly had any snow last season. just need pass, gloves and i’d like to get new jacket and maybe bindings. ones i have i think are a little small. only ratchet like 4 times on the boots i got last season.

    who’s ready for winter?

edit: hard to tell. but on my face is kinda like a winter bandana. but it’s kinda stretchy. you don’t have to tie it or anything. just slip it on over your head. it’s double layer. out side what you can see is kinda thin. inside layer in like fleece. it’s really warm and hangs down nice, not to short. if you tuck it into your jacket, it kinda sends your breath down and into jacket. keeps your neck very nice and warm along with face.

can some one explain the allure of hiking your ass off with a split board? I spend the whole summer walking around.

I don't know how I feel about them.. I'd rather use a split board.

Ever hear of lift lines?

    This ^
Better snow, better scenery, better experience, way less crowded.

Never ridden one but I'd classify them as atleast somewhat decent.. Doesn't look like they are catering too hard to the beginner crowd.. So that's a good thing.

and the beauty of a splitboard is you aren't hiking all around...you're sliding like cross country skiing so you don't waste as much energy as you would snowshoeing ..

and the feeling you get when you top off on a ridge with no screaming kids or lifts running or gapers running all around, is priceless when you have open slopes all around you and nothing but the wind making noise around you...

unfortunate thing is you are lugging around a board on your back while sliding up the mtn, but the payoff is you have a solid board of your choice to shred the lines...my split still has a great response to it, but if you take a cut board versus a solid board, the solid board will have the best feel to it 100times out of 100

Where do you hike around at in the Denver area? Wouldnt mind checking that out this season. I know you can drop off the switch backs heading up to A-Basin.

i wish i was close too some where that i could do back country. but no where in this state or close by at all. i’ll admit i’m still kinda learning. the bard part for me is. i can get off the lift good regular, but as good at going down regular as i am goofy, so i’m trying to make my self learn goofy. but i get annoyed when people fall and don’t try and get up, and just site in the middle of the slope. if i’m going to sit for a few minutes i go and sit on the side.
