    Hm, mount the female end plug under the dash, I just drilled the hole, hook up the positive cable lead, and ground the control box. I was looking to see if I could find a digital amp probe for the main hot wire but only seen ones that are good for 200 amps, which theoretically the xrc8 can pull over 400 amps under max load

    Well if I am in a difficult spot or if someone I am winching is in a tough spot, I don't want to overload the winch, or the alternator, or possibly break the winch line, and if let's say I hit 300 amps while winching I would stop the winch and use a snatch block to lessen the stress on everything so to say, the only downfall is a snatchblock cuts the line speed in half but it doubles the pulling power.

    I didn't need a fuse, just wanted a digital readout of the amperage being pulled on the alternator.
