Speaking of trail rigs. I saw a early 90's Toyota Land Cruiser at Mikes Merchandise in Guntersville, it has BFG AT's on stock rims, looked to be solid axle in the front, new shocks all the way around (stock height) and is for sale for $7k I think. the body is pretty rough for $7k though. I couldn't tell how many miles it had on it either. If anyone is interested I can take some pics of it, I pass by there everyday.

I almost bought something this and sent it out to Christo Slee for a 4.7 swap...
That's kinda spendy for an early 90's though, particularly if the body is in rough shape. Now, if it only had like 130k miles, and everything was mechanically perfect, then maybe. That still sounds high though.

I was looking at something like this: http://bham.craigslist.org/cto/3236085272.html

And then putting like $16k into an engine and transmission swap.

After talking to him at length about it though, it really made more sense to just buy a 100 series.

In addition, I'm reasonably certain my bank would have been like, "say whaaaa??? uh.. no."

That cruiser is in much better cosmetic shape than the one in gville. I looked at the odometer and its either got 120k or 220k.. by the way it looks I'm leaning towards 220k lol. $7k is way too much for it either way.

Any other trucks going? I need to do some scheduled maintenance on my truck. Owner manual says to engage and use 4x once a month for 10 miles to keep everything lubricated.

I officially have LED turn signals, and got a $12 LED headlight flasher + NO DTRLs.

Justin, FWIW, it's very easy to do, I did it in like 30 minutes and I'm slow.

Edit: turn signals, not headlights. I'm a tard.

Is there a chance that later you might be able to take some night-time pictures showing how well it lights up the dark? I have been curious about the LED headlights and have done some research, but a real-world observation would be nice. I have had more than one customer asking about LED headlights and would like to be able to see them in action before I would consider recommending them. Were there any extra parts to buy or special modifications you had to do besides the bulbs?

Worth noting, when taking pictures of lights like this, in order to get an accurate comparison you must have a camera that is capable of manually setting the white balance, ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. The meter is going to try and get everything to middle gray, both exposure and color. This will automatically adjust and throw off the difference that you see between the photos. The thing to do is set everything manually with the camera on a tripod for the first shot, leave it, swap the bulbs, then take the second one.

Just curious, were you throttling out of something pretty hard, or was it something you wouldn't expect to break them?

I wasnt in full retard mode like the first time. I did not expect it to break, the first time I did. One tire was spinning and one wasnt, I apllied the brake and it started sending power to the other side, very similar to atrac, and boom it went. It looked exactly like atrac was engaging and then it popped. At first we thought it was a CV but further inspection led us to find out it was in the diff.
