Long life towing tires?

I already have a set of steel rims with yokohama winter only tires and am now looking for a set of quiet, long life summer only towing capable (maybe e-rating?) tires for the aluminum rims. I will be hauling up to 6,000 lbs to Oregon this July and the stock Dunlops have to go. Looks is irrelevant to me, just want a safe, long-life and quiet tire. What works here?

Any LR. E tire will do fine, if you want them to last a long time run the rear tires @80psi. Will ride like sh!t but will last long time.

 

Run them at 80 psi- if that's within the manufactures allowed limts and you want the middle to wear out faster than the edges.


Run the tires at the right psi and make pressure adjustments when you are towing and most normal load rated E tire or HT/street type tire will probably work out fine.
