I have a scooped hood on my '09 TRD and driving into the rising or setting sun is a complete pain in the "eyes."

Thinking about shooting the scoop with a flat black (like the '70's MOPARS) to cut down on the glare. Anyone else do something like this? I'd like to see photos if you have any.

    Thanks,

    Ray

    The better coast
    skewp problems

But I have heard that sun bounces off the scoop quite a bit around here, you can always sell if and put a few bucks in your pocket if your not die-hard on having a scoop in the first place.

I found it really distracting at first but then I stopped noticing. Perhaps give it a little bit and see if it goes away?

I will Photoshop the crap out of anything. Let me at it!
That goes for anyone. Send 'em pictures over.

Also, I like the concept. Nice WWII aircraft style inception.

I've had the truck for 9-months now and, due to about 22+ years of working graveyards, am light sensitive to glare. I also seem to drive east in the mornings and west in the evenings which just exacerbates the problem. The flat black vinyl wrap looks like a good idea to see how well the concept works. May have to give that a try.

I only have issues in certain parts of the day/evening time. Once I put on the sunglasses, everything is good again. No way, no how I am not giving up my skewp.

Gotcha.....I 'd be a lot more inclined to go with the matte black adhesive before painting. Same effect but removeable if you ever sold.

You know this is ironic. The morning after I posted this, my sunglasses dropped and broke. So now if I have the glare from the skewp, I'm kind of fubared until I get another pair.
