I wasn't going to take them apart though. I was going to go around outside edge of where the 2 pieces come together and silicone the living shit out of it. Any little space filled.

I went to WallyWorld and picked up GE Clear Premium Waterproof Silicone. It's a 2.8oz. tube that you hand squeeze. Its safe to use on plastic, so it won't burn it.

Nice. GE silicone it is then.

Also.....the 2 blinker lenses fell out so i cut em up and removed them. Should I seal up the 2 holes that the lenses came out of?

Guys, spent all day working on the BHLM and retrofit mods. It's been quite the adventure. When I preburned the bezels I got some bubbles in the paint. I plan on repainting, but what am I doing wrong? Not enough dry time prior to preburn?

You using the Krylon fusion paint? How long are you waiting before you throw the bezels in?

Yeah, I'm using the Krylon Fusion. I let it dry for about 45 minutes before attempting the preburn. Followed viet's instructions, but then noticed some slight smoking from the oven. Pulled them out, noticed the bubbles.

    Maybe too hot?
Shouldn't be higher than 250 for the preburn.

Yeah... I'm going to sand the bubbles out, repaint, and try it again at a lower temp. Give it more time to dry too. Hopefully this will do the trick. Will post up some pics when done!

I would bake at a lower temp also. Try turning off the oven as soon as you put them in. The intent here is just to get rid of the overspray and get it all to blend in real nice like. GL brochacho!

    Thank you my good man.

Tell you what though. That little accent piece that goes under the head lamps had my arss puckered. Seems so delicate. At first it seemed like a game of Jenga. I wasn't sure what pieces to take off first to get the headlights out. BUT, I figured her out eventually. It was good practice for when my bumper comes in from Pelfreybilt.:D

Doing my 3rd BHLM as we speak. Haven't tried the preburn yet but am giong to once i get enought coverage on the bezels. Then i gotta do my bowls the same way. I painted my blinker reflectors orange by using the krylon stained glass spray paint, and plan on staining the blinker cover lense thing the same way and the reflector so they all match. Then its off to the retrofit of the Morimoto D2S. Thanks for all the info after a quick thread read through fellas! I'll put up some pics when she gets close to sealing together

Sum bitch. Passenger side works great. Driver side STILL fuckin gets moisture in there.

I resealed the hell out of it a 2nd time too.

Only thing I can think of (ANYONES .02 cents PLEASE) is when i put the side marker bulb in, I'm not sure it is making a perfect seat in there. Could moisture get in that way???? You can tell that's where the fogging starts.

Other than that I'm selling them for someone to fuck with them or drop kicking the shit out of them.
