    Hey,

I'm starting to get some mad stone chips from my 285 mtz's.

I was just trying to search for some mud flaps that might work for highway driving that I can remove for offroad. I know there was a guy who made a bunch of custom mud flaps that were wider and lower profile that might work but I can't find his thread in the buy/sell.

Any help would be appreciated by me and my trucks weak paint

    Cheers

I have no idea about the flaps, but the correct slider with infill plates would stop a great deal of the chips.

My sliders are littered with rock chips that were destined for the side of my cab.

yeah thats what I'm looking to do. I just can't find the guy who was selling them on here.

I know I would have to remove them for offroading but it would only be 3 screws each side so not a big deal.

I am running AP sliders but am still getting rock chips. I figure mud flaps would be cheaper and easier than getting infill plates.

buy a roll of clear 12mil, it's about $137 for a roll of 12 inch by 30 feet plus tax and shipping. I plan to do this to my truck real soon. Looking at going from the rocker panel and up about 12 inches on the doors. Just an idea for running without mud flaps.

KenLynns a very knowledgeable dude on here advised me to the custom made ones for our trucks, some flaps made by Husky. I got them cause my front rubbed (no lift). Although your tires are a bit larger than mine, they may solve your problem. The nice thing about these are that they can be removed with a phillips in less than 5 min. The picture below shows them, but not up close. They are a tad wider and a bit shorter. They are thinner than the stock flaps.

Check with DuraFlap, they make custom mud flaps cut to the customers specifications. Their web site does not show for Tacoma, but give them a call. they made mine.

Could you post that picture of where you trimmed? I'm rubbing where the mudflap meets the inner fender well where there is a slight bulge.
