I'm trying to decide if I'd be happy just leveling my truck at .85 with 5100's and stock 3 leaf or going to 1.75 with the rear tsb or aal. Would love to see some pics of some 2nd gens at .85 with the stock 3 leaf. I've seen many at 1.75 but can't seem to find any at .85. I wan't to try to keep the mpg's and softer ride. Also how much lift does each setting typically give on a DC V6 4x4?

Also I have people telling me that lifting/leveling will kill my mpg but I don't see where that should hurt very much unless I go up in tire size. The only thing I can see is the aerodynamics changing it and that should be minimal. Any thought or opinions on this? I know its a truck and will get crap from some on here but I do want to keep the mpg's as close to stock as possible while making the truck look better and mine. Thanks in advance.

Thanks, your trucks actually look level w/o the aal. I've seen some that had a good bit of rake at 1.75 so I thought I would need the aal or tsb.

My truck is almost perfectly level, so if I have any additional weight in the back I have a little rake but nothing crazy.

Also I did go up in tire size 265/70 17s, no real difference in MPGs. I do have to calculate for about a 4% difference in miles traveled though when calcing MPGs.

Used to commute 100 miles everyday for work, if I kept it right at or below 2000 RPMs (70 mph) I would get about 19.5 to 20.5 MPGs with my current setup.

Below is my 2012 TRD Off Road package Tacoma. I have the 3 leaf pack in the rear and 5100's at .85 in the front. It is exactly level to the 1/8th inch. I love the ride and am really glad it is set at .85 not 1.75 because I didnt like it there.

I hope this is what you were hoping to see :)

Yes, but I'm still unsure. :goingcrazy: I thought I would need the aal or tsb to go 1.75. Yet I don't want to make the ride rougher by an aal or tsb. I only want to do this once so I don't hear it from my wife.

I don't even know when I'll be able to do anything, was hoping for Christmas to get either 5100's which I know nobody will get or know what to get so hoping for visa gift cards or cash which I tried for last year. Nobody wants to give that, they want to give a gift. Yet they want to give what I want. Well this is what I want.

Anyway just trying to make up my mind now so if I want to try for a tsb to go ahead and go for it. I do wish the rear springs would hold up better for loads yet the wife already complains about the "rough ride". I think it rides pretty good but don't want to change it too much.

I think .85 would look great with my tire/wheel combo, if I go 1.75 I'm thinking I'll want to go bigger on tires.

I must say, I have had my stock wheels and tires on my truck with the front at 1.75, and they did look like they were lost in the wheels wells. If you go 1.75 I would recommend bigger wheels/tires.
