You jelly bro? Shit will be fine its a fucking toyota. It has a solid spacer anyway. I made sure when I purchased a rebuild kit. Though of course who knows if the idiots installed it way back when

Another 10 hour day goes by. Kicked out of the shop when my co-worker came home though :( If only I had forever.

Started by adding my crossbraces for the bed plywood. And also incorporated shock mounts into it. Just going to run a bolt through it to hold the shock.

Ignore that other cross brace ugly looking thing :p

It's hard to see, but yeah.. I am going to run them at a semi- /\ . Just sorta, but not enough to make the shock useless.

    Fast forward alot...

We put them bed pieces on.

Then we worked on new shock mounts for the rear axle.

Pulled it out of the shop, all 4 tires on yay!!!

    Check out them shoes

We had added the trick tabs for the bolt on fenders, I only had 8 left so 4 on each side will do for now.

    They are on!

    Bolted the bed back on!

I ran it down the road for a minute. Couldn't get much of a feel though. Didn't really have any squeaks or vibes below 30 mph. I have to pull the DS portion of the front out of the tcase since it was clunking. (Driveshafts are going to be rebuilt) So I couldn't tell if the bearings were all good and quiet.

My warn hub on the passenger side was EXTREMELY hard to turn too. It even started backing itself out from it's lock position. I wasn't sure why, but I found out why it was hard to turn. The snap ring that holds the Dial in (selector switch) was fucking it up. I moved it upward a notch and I think it fixed it, still gotta research it out. The snap ring doesn't have a set place for it, it just goes into one of the 5 threads... Kinda stupid IMO.

    enjoy

4Ds when I go tons. They look small but the axle just cannot handle anything bigger.

My buddy let me back in his shop but only on his low bay side. I didn't really need the lift so heck yeah!!

I pulled the rear end apart to check the locker which I pretty much narrowed down to being broken.

Pulled the 3rd out ready to unbolt.

I have never done any of this and just went at it blindly :D

I ain't stupid and I know bearings and races need to go back to where they originally came from along with everything in this planet.

I also took alot of photos of the shit too.

    Carrier is out and about.

    Gears look great.

Unbolted the gear and it didn't come off so I hit it with a dead blow and it came off. Guess it was kinda pressed on.

Found my issue. Driver side inner tooth on the gear chipped

Center section of the locker is cracked too... Wonderful.

Still waiting on parts to come tomorrow. I should have my mini spool ( Locker parts cost way to much to rebuild, it's junk now  ) I ordered a new Warn solenoid for the winch since it has been in my apartment for a year

I didn't get much done as I was busy but, I rebuilt my winch today, regreased it and everything. I used Schaeffers synthetic 274 moly grease because it's the best grease on the planet :D

Mocked up a place for a tool box... Lid doesn't open all the way of course, gotta find a smaller box

Mocked up spare tire location too. Still haven't found a spare in over a year

I am not using the spare tire holder, it's a fucking HORRIBLE design. This works good, and I can see GREAT!

Room behind the tire, box will take up most of it.

I like the new spare tire location haha

Where can you pick up the grease? Been wanting to repack the grease in my winch but wasn't sure what to replace it with.

    Thank you sir

I got it from a friend, but mostly found out about it at work, we use tons of it. The local NAPA carries it where I am, but I think you can get it online from their site.. hmm maybe a local dealer
