I recently built a computer for a fella that does photography as a hobbie and in total he wanted 20 TB of storage all in RAID and redundant to another off sight computer at his pratice. He says he does about 2 TB of pics a year and i was like

BTW, the reason I ask is because reading the reviews, it's kind of a wash. Both cameras are MSRP'd the same. There are differences to be sure but not significant enough to call either a clear winner in entry level FF bodies.

The summary of that review is basically my exact views. While it has some cool features like the WiFi, spec wise it just doesn't match the D600. Once there is an AF test though, I think that will decided which is better.

I just feel that overall, the d600 has more to offer, so the 6D should be a little less in price. But that is just my opinion.

I agree that once a few people have them in hand, there'll be more to judge but as far as feature sets go, they are the same with the Canon having the better high ISO range. And if you want to nit pick, WiFi and GPS are options on the Nikon :p

As far as WiFi goes, you can always go the EyeFi route. Having been a beta tester of both the original and a more recent EyeFi card, they do pretty well for the casual transfer but more advanced users will find the cards slower than other SD cards. Let's hope that the Canon WiFi is faster.

That's the only bonus is better high ISO

    And so it does :p

Meh, not too worried about EyeFi, or WiFi but it is a good way around not having the built in WiFi

Here are a few from the gallery on my website, including a few from recent sessions.

One of a series of promo photos for a local theatrical production of "Clue: the Musical." Shot to mimick the cards from the board game.

Here are some football photos, I'm working on some soccer photos now (both men and women's). Yes I should have upped the ISO...

BTW, The Nikon has two faults. One being minor (the lack of a sync port) but the max sync speed is 1/200 when the older Nikon bodies offered 1/500. That matters a ton if you do flash photography and according to some, make the Nikon a non-starter.

Canons is 1/180 IIRC which is one thing I was really surprised at. Even my XS had a sync of 1/200( I am fairly sure)

3" lift Up front(Donahoe Racing ext. travel coil overs, Camburg UCA's), 1.5-2" lift in the back(aal and some billy 10" stroke short bodies), Bushwhacker Cut-Out fender flairs, 16"x10" Procomp Street locks, and 305/70 Procomp X-Terrains.
Nice shots fearnothing. I like the one where the helmet is flying

Yup. It's almost as if both Canon and Nikon have decided these new bodies are definitively low end and won't (hopefully) affect their higher end offerings in the slightest. At least, that's my take on it.

It makes sense that they don't want to take away from their higher end bodies, but really? I don't see many of these being sold considering the 7D is cheaper and has better things to offer IMO. Yes it's not FF but everything else I believe is better.

But again, I can't really say that until tests are done.
