Bought my truck a couple of weeks ago and decided to start a thread about my build. Don't want to go too over board and will be making just simple upgrades and mods I can do myself to improve looks a little.

    Any suggestions/comments are welcome.

    Mods added:
    Aries Nerf bars in black
    Interior set white Led's
AVS in-channel window deflectors smoke kit
    EGR hood deflector

I got a set of Aries Nerf Bars in black. Just ordered them from http://www.autoanything.com/nerf-bars/aries-nerf-bars with the 15% first order discount for $141.91 :)

I'll post pics once I get and install them.

Hope they help with preventing some door dings, plus my little girl will be happy to have some help getting in and out of the truck. And I hope will make the truck look better. Anyone with pics of these bars installed?

yeah they look nice too... not a lot of budget right now and thought the price for the aries ones was pretty darn good to pass by.

Received my aries nerf bars last night and put them on this morning. Easy setup, took me about 40 minutes plug and play. Happy so far with how they look and my daughter loves that she can now easily get in and out.

originally was getting EGR deflectors, received them and they were tape-on kind, so returned them and am getting AVS in-channels now since I've read so many good reviews on them. pictures pending.

AVS in-channels received and installed... they install in minutes and look great, like that since my truck is black, they blend well with the smoke kit and they are not huge or stick out on the sides. Have not tested them out as instructions say wait 24 hours until opening windows. Will update with wind noise and all that once I try them out.

Added EGR hood deflector, not a huge fan of these but since my truck is black and the deflector is black/smoked, it doesn't really stand out. Lots of bugs around where I live and already seen some chips on my hood due to flying rocks, so want to protect it. Here are a couple of pics:

I'm thinking about getting these same nerf bars for the same price. Any complaints since you installed them?

no complaints, so far so good and I like them. they are not huge and dont stick out much on the side which I like and they've served their purpose which is to make it easier for my wife and daughter to get in and out. If I had to point out just one flaw is that the bolts are not black, but that can be easily fixed with some paint (still have to do it myself but doesn't bother one bit if I don't get to it.)
