I had a BMW 3 series and the rear brakes cost over $600 to replace. Talk about a kick in the balls.

Yea yea yea, calm your horses.

He's joking about helping me put change brake pads.

Did you get started on the maintenance yet?

    Looks beefy! I like.

I see, musta missed that part

I haven't started with anything yet. There's a backlog of work to be done on my truck. So far, I've got the parts sitting at my house to rewire my light switches, change out the faulty PIAA relay, undercoat the frame, carpet the bed platform, change the plugs, air filter, cabin air filter and also the diffs/x-fer case. I need to find a new mechanic, mine sucks!

    Thank You

    Never!

Well stop working on other people's shit and get to work...

Hey I have plenty of industrial spray glue for the carpet. I can give you a couple of cans. And I volunteer to help you do your maintance when ever you want.

Hey, are you implying that I'm the crappy mechanic behind this?!?! You'd better hope that's not the case because otherwise you're rolling in an electrical fire waiting to happen and with a rear diff begging to drink in some water (jk, you know everything was installed correctly although I take no responsibility for the stuff Alex did...)

I might have to take you up on that industrial adhesive, I haven't figured out how to attach that stuff yet. I'm supposed to do a mod day when I do the maintenance, there are a few people who wanted to do the same stuff so we might as well collaborate. We could get the assembly line going!

Have any of you local guys had the driveline vibration TSB completed? The one that's supposed to cure vibrations between 15-20MPH? I'm thinking about ordering the parts and trying it out. I'll do the OME CB drop first just for kicks. When that doesn't work, the TSB parts will be next.

    T-SB-0132-08 JUL 08 Drivetrain - Driveline Vibration Between 15 - 25 MPH

I've taken it to Toyota twice while it was under warranty for this vibration and both times they said they couldn't tell anything was wrong. It wasn't horrible so I let it go. It's now gotten pretty bad. I'm going to rotate the tires, rule that out just to be safe although H/T tires shouldn't cause vibrations, then install the OME CB drop kit just to see if it does anything, when neither of those work, I was debating buying the parts for the TSB.

    Here's the complete TSB (attached)

    Actually, here's my original thread:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/140576-tsb-0132-08-question.html

There's a link to another thread that has a lot of good info on driveline vibration.
