holy shit i had no idea where or what Centralia was all about. that place seems like it'd be sweet to go and check out.

i wish pa had some more ghost towns that were left untouched. they're definitely interesting.

you wanna see Centraila. become a Geo Cacher to really get around. It's very mysterious and when it's foggy and raining and at night it intensifies.

My mother bought me the book "Weird Pennsylvania" a few years back and I think there are a couple pages dedicated to Centralia.

If you've never seen it, it is an interesting book.

Chad, are there any places in that book that are closer to us in SW PA? Us that are near Pitt could have a myterious PA meet haha.

I'd like to go check out Centralia, but it's 5.5-6 hours away from me...

Centralia is really neat to see. It's been like 10 years since I've been there.

Search google and read the history behind it. Very interesting.

Those fires still burn and the ground still smokes.

There is an anti-gravity hill in North Park. Put your vehicle in neutral and it seems to roll up hill. Most of the stuff in that book is in Eastern PA. I was a little dissappointed about everything being in the east. We get the shaft here in west PA. A Pittsburgh meet would be cool. I'd love to make it to some of the other meets, but I'm just not in a position to cross the state right now. My 4Runner isn't even legal at the moment.

sure, I'm up for it. By the way there is an other place in Central PA with the gravity hill mystery and it's only a hop, skip, and jump from Centraila. Any Geo Cachers in the group? Multiple Geo Caches along this route.

    Hey Gang,
Keystone Krawlers is having their monthly ride at Rausch Creek - May 16th.

If you're interested, contact Mitch Shellenberger
    treasurer@keystonekrawlers.com

Anyone travel in & around Swatara State Park (near Lebanon)? I heard there are some public (dirt & offroad-ish) type roads through there. I've been wanting to check it out but I'm not even sure where they start. This might be a really neat alternative to Rausch for the newbies/beginners.
