Actually it is the "tuff grip" brand that they spray and it has never had a smooth texture since day one. thats the whole point of having rhino liner in a bed is that it grips things that are in there so they dont slide around. you can have them put a protective coat on it if you want to keep the glossy look(sometimes people get actual colors like red yellow blue etc...) but i elected not to get it because this truck is going to someday become a monster :) It will be a slow process but i will be keeping this thing its whole life. so as for the resale value i dont really give a shit. As for the greying, yes it will look greyish (comparable to your tires when washed but no armorall or other such sprays applied) but once you wash up it up good it comes right back to a nice black. Those pics are of it fresh out of the shop over a year ago so of course it looks really nice. I just did the BHLM and will have some pics posted as well as some close ups so you guys can see the texture. June 15th is my lift date. 6" fab with 305/70/16 then i will have some more posted.

Dont be a hater BBQboy, just set back and chew on that rib and relax brother. I really want to know how grey looks like crap anyways? Thats being a little bias when it comes to the color spectrum wouldnt ya think? sounds like personal preference to me. It will actaully match the tires and wheels. what do i really give a shit about it looking grayish anyways. I didnt get the Rhino Liner so it would look nice, that was just a byproduct, I got it so i could wheel the shit outta it and not give a crap about my paint job. I can roll down a brushy 4wheeler trail without a care in the world. It will also perserve the body in the long run.

i will say this much. if I were planning on keeping a truck for 20-30 years then I would do what you did. I think it is a great idea if was going to be a primary hunting, fishing and off road vehicle.

Sounds to me like he is actually going to use the truck as a truck, go figure. Looks tough bonner, I like it. Besides, the factory paint is thin.

On topic...I find it hard to believe that your truck resisted dents any better than the rest of our trucks (which dent upon impact from a lady bug). Be sure you are looking at it in the right light and there are absolutely NO dents. Insurance should cover that under comprehensive, usually a small deductible, and it would not affect your rates (only collision makes them go up).

On a side note, if anyone has small dents in their truck, the dry-ice method of removing them is amazing. You can do it at home and it doesn't hurt the paint.

Off topic...I think the Rhino'd truck looks awesome! I wouldn't do that to my truck because it will spend most of its life on pavement. I would absolutely do that to a truck that was going to be an off-road rig. I HATE running past bushes and low trees when wheeling. I had a black Dakota and it got ridiculously scratched up from one trip down a tight trail. I couldn't conciously not worry about that...even if the rig was trail-dedicated.
I look forward to seeing updated pictures as you begin to set it up for wheeling.

Can you elaborate on the dry ice method? Just curious.

Yeah, in a little over a year i hope to finally get the wife a vehicle and then this thing will only go out for wheeling and wheeling only. The thing about the dents is that the rhino liner is really stiff stuff so yeah it is a lot stronger. if you were to push on the body of a normal taco and the mine you would feel the difference, trust me. as to what extent...who knows? a stump catching me in the door is going to dent my truck just like yours i guess :)

As for the dry ice thing i would be curious to know how that works also. sounds like an interesting concept. appreciate the rep.
